Iain is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Leicester Law School, examining the extent to which awards of damages in international disputes reflect risk and uncertainty.

He is also overseeing research projects on the impact of financial reporting misstatements on the value of public companies, and on the valuation of intellectual property and intangible assets by investors.

Iain led the research and analysis for this report, which explores how valuation standards and regional financial reporting practices impact the measurement and disclosure of intangible assets in ASEAN capital markets. The report highlights key gaps in current practice and offers policy recommendations aimed at improving transparency, comparability, and investor confidence.
